ST PATRICK’S PRIMARY SCHOOL RECIEVES A NEW GARDEN SHED THANKS TO ASCOT

07 March 2017

Student’s from St Patrick’s Primary School in Pakenham have a new garden shed on the school grounds, provided as part of a sponsorship by Ascot.

The students, many of whom are proving to be avid gardeners, are excited at the addition of the new shed, which will now store all the gardening supplies and materials for the school grounds.

The garden shed was provided by Ascot as a continuation of the relationship created with St Patrick’s Primary School last year, when Ascot supported the school by providing a range of gardening materials for the school’s ever growing vegetable garden.

An additional range of fruit trees and a large oak tree were given to the school in support of National Tree Day and were planted during a commemorative ceremony to mark the 150th anniversary of the school.

St Patrick’s has many keen gardeners who look after the lemon, lime, fig, mandarin and cherry trees, along with the school’s ever growing vegetable patch, which are used for gardening and cooking activities within the school curriculum.

Students will continue to look after the vegetable patch and trees, with the hope that they will grow and be in place for many years to come.
